Xinyi is a Senior Psychologist with almost 20 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, parents and families across complex emotional, developmental and life circumstances.

Her work is grounded in the belief that meaningful psychological change begins with understanding. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, Xinyi helps clients make sense of the patterns, experiences and relationships that shape how they think, feel and function. Her aim is not simply short-term relief, but greater clarity, emotional resilience and sustainable wellbeing.

She works with individuals navigating difficulties ranging from mood and anxiety concerns to emotional overwhelm, identity challenges, neurodiversity, self-harm, burnout and significant life transitions. She also has extensive experience supporting high-performing individuals who may appear to be coping well externally while experiencing perfectionism, emotional exhaustion or a growing sense that their current way of functioning is no longer sustainable.

Xinyi also works with individuals in their later years, supporting them through shifts in identity that can accompany retirement, changing health, loss of independence, familiar roles and loved ones.

Prior to private practice, Xinyi was a Senior Psychologist with Singapore’s Ministry of Social and Family Development, where she led a specialised service supporting young people and families involved in juvenile justice and child protection. She subsequently held a leadership role in crisis response, supporting individuals and families through highly challenging and psychologically sensitive situations.

Xinyi holds a Master’s in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology from University College London, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the National University of Singapore.
