Naziha Andria Chabot is a certified Play Therapist and Child Psychotherapist with extensive experience supporting children through trauma, emotional challenges, and developmental differences. Recognizing that play is the child’s natural medium for expression and communication, Andria creates a safe, child-centred environment where children can explore their emotions, develop resilience, and overcome challenges.
She specializes in working with children diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, GDD, and other learning disorders such as dyslexia and sensory integration issues. Through the medium of play, Andria supports children facing emotional difficulties, including anxiety, depression, and trauma (manifesting as sleep disorders, school refusal, attention difficulties, and the effects of parental separation).
Andria holds a Post-graduate Diploma in Play Therapy and is a registered member of Play Therapy UK (PTUK), with her credentials recognized by the Professional Standards Authority. She employs a trauma-informed approach, using evidence-based techniques such as sand therapy and creative arts therapy, which integrate seamlessly with the therapeutic power of play. These approaches help foster resilience, emotional well-being, and personal growth while honouring each child’s unique developmental journey.
Previously, Andria worked with the Children’s Cancer Foundation, where she provided emotional and psychological support to children affected by cancer. In this role, she utilized play to help children process their experiences and express feelings they might struggle to articulate verbally. This holistic approach allowed Andria to support both children and their families in navigating the complexities of serious illness, emphasizing the profound connection between physical health and emotional well-being.
In addition to her clinical work, Andria has designed and facilitated life skills programs tailored to children with special needs. These programs integrate play-based and creative therapeutic techniques to nurture self-confidence, emotional resilience, and social competence, empowering children to develop essential life skills in a supportive and engaging way.
With a passion for helping children and families thrive, Andria strives to provide a nurturing space where play becomes a pathway to healing, growth, and empowerment. She is dedicated to equipping children with the tools they need to navigate adversity and flourish in their personal and social environments, always honouring play as the most natural and effective means of communication for a child.
